AbraSilver Resource Corp. has issued a Limited Notice to Proceed to Worley to commence the bridging engineering phase for the 100%-owned Diablillos silver-gold project, located in the Puna region across Salta and Catamarca provinces in Argentina.

The award follows the delivery of the Definitive Feasibility Study by Worley and initiates the workstreams required to support a final investment decision targeted for the second quarter of 2027.

Under the bridging phase, Worley will build upon the detailed engineering, technical, environmental and economic outcomes established in the study. Worley teams in Argentina and Canada, alongside its Global Integrated Delivery centre in Colombia, will collaborate with AbraSilver Chief Operating Officer Jeremy Weyland, newly appointed Project Director John Naisbitt, and the local team to de-risk the asset. The scope encompasses engineering design, technical studies, procurement services, cost estimates, scheduling and permitting support to formulate an execution plan.

The program also covers planning for a site camp to house the construction and operations workforce, incorporating an assessment of modular construction options suited to the remote, high-altitude location and limited local infrastructure.

Jeremy Weyland, Chief Operating Officer of AbraSilver, commented, "Awarding this next phase of work to Worley following the DFS keeps Diablillos moving without interruption along the path to construction. Worley knows this project well, and their global mining expertise and proven project delivery track record make them the right partner to advance the engineering, procurement and permitting workstreams that underpin our targeted final investment decision in the second quarter of 2027."

The engineering award builds on a period of corporate consolidation and permitting milestones for the asset. AbraSilver secured 100% ownership of Diablillos in April 2025 by completing its final property payment of US$6.85 million to EMX Royalty Corp. ahead of schedule. Permitting momentum advanced further in 2026 with the receipt of environmental impact assessments from Salta Province in April and Catamarca Province in June. To fund ongoing pre-construction activities and long lead-time equipment procurement, the company closed a C$50 million bought deal public offering in July 2026.
