Adyton Resources Lifts Indicated Gold Resource at Gameta by 131%
Adyton Resources has updated the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Gameta Gold Project on Fergusson Island, Papua New Guinea, lifting the indicated mineral resource by 131% to 404,000 ounces of gold. The updated estimate, which incorporates 4,000 metres of infill drilling completed throughout 2025, now stands at 8.94 million tonnes grading 1.41 g/t gold in the indicated category.
The inferred component of the resource is reported at 6.52 million tonnes grading 0.99 g/t gold, containing 207,000 ounces. Prepared by independent mining consultant Mining One, the new model is based on an optimized pit shell that assumes gold recoveries of 90% and a gold price of US$3,500 per ounce.
“The 131% increase in indicated resource to 404,000 ounces of gold, together with an indicated grade of 1.41 g/t gold highlights the quality and scale of the Gameta deposit.”
— Tim Crossley, Chief Executive Officer
“This MRE is very positive for the broader Fergusson development and confirms that Gameta is a much larger, richer, and more contiguous deposit than initially understood.”
— Louis Wang, Project Director
The company stated that the conversion of resources into the higher-confidence indicated category provides a strengthened foundation for engineering and development studies. Adyton is evaluating a standalone processing facility at Gameta while investigating potential operational synergies with the nearby Wapolu project, including the use of shared logistics and infrastructure.
Technical teams have initiated the environmental and technical workstreams necessary to support a future Mining Lease application for Gameta. This work runs in parallel with ongoing feasibility studies aimed at defining potential open-pit mining development scenarios for the deposit.
Adyton is simultaneously advancing the development of the historic Wapolu mine, which is also located on Fergusson Island. The company is in the process of applying for a Mining Lease for the Wapolu project with the Mineral Resources Authority of Papua New Guinea. Construction activities are also reaching a key milestone, with the Phase 1 process plant module for the Wapolu mine expected to be completed in late September 2026.
The updated MRE for Gameta, which has an effective date of 12 July 2026, relies on a 0.4 g/t gold cut-off grade. Management noted that mineralization remains open at depth and along strike to the southeast, providing further scope for future exploration. The company intends to file a formal NI 43-101 technical report supporting these updated figures within 45 days of the announcement.
