Alamos Gold Inc. has announced the departure of Claire M. C. Kennedy from its board of directors, effective August 31, following her appointment as Consul General of Canada in Chicago.

Kennedy has served on the board since November 2015, contributing extensive experience and expertise while chairing the audit committee through a period of substantial corporate growth. Alamos operates the Young-Davidson mine in northern Ontario as one of its three producing North American operations, alongside the Island Gold District and the Mulatos District in Mexico.
