Albion Resources Limited has received approval for its Programme of Work from the Western Australian Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration, clearing a key regulatory hurdle for maiden drilling at the Gidgee Gold Project.

The company has transitioned its primary exploration focus to Gidgee following its acquisition in May 2026. Albion previously concentrated its efforts on the Yandal West project, where it conducted multiple phases of reverse circulation drilling throughout 2025.

At Gidgee, the upcoming campaign will test several high-priority targets, including the German Well South prospect and multiple gold anomalies identified through a recent soil geochemistry program.

“Receiving PoW approval is an important milestone and allows us to move into the execution phase of our maiden drilling campaign at Gidgee.”

“We believe Gidgee represents an outstanding exploration opportunity within the highly endowed Gum Creek Greenstone Belt. Our recent soil geochemistry program has generated numerous high-quality targets, while German Well South provides an advanced drill-ready opportunity supported by significant gold intersections.”

— Peter Goh, CEO

The drilling program is scheduled to commence in late August 2026, subject to final contractor availability and site mobilisation. Albion expects to release a comprehensive presentation outlining its specific drilling strategy next week and will report assay results as they become available.
