Aldebaran Resources Inc. reported assay results from six holes of its 2025–2026 infill and geotechnical drilling program at the Altar copper-gold project in San Juan Province, Argentina, highlighted by hole ALD-26-267, which returned 1,257.30 metres grading 0.66% copper equivalent from 135.70 metres.

The standout intercept in hole ALD-26-267 included a higher-grade interval of 513 metres at 1.06% copper equivalent from 514 metres, which further encompassed 214 metres grading 1.57% copper equivalent from 520 metres. Additional drilling returned broad mineralization across the deposit, including hole ALD-26-261 with 1,323.20 metres at 0.50% copper equivalent, and hole ALD-25-262 with 939.30 metres at 0.58% copper equivalent. Hole ALD-26-182EXT returned 1,354 metres at 0.41% copper equivalent, and hole ALD-26-263 intersected 1,336 metres at 0.38% copper equivalent.

Aldebaran holds an 80% interest in the Altar project, which was the subject of a Preliminary Economic Assessment prepared by SRK Consulting Inc. in October 2025.

The company designed the latest program primarily to upgrade resource blocks classified as Inferred into the Measured and Indicated categories for an upcoming mineral resource estimate. Several holes were also oriented specifically for geotechnical data collection to constrain lithological contacts, faults, fractures, and veins in three-dimensional space for open pit and underground mine designs.

Longer-than-expected turnaround times at assay laboratories have delayed the release of final drill results and pushed back the completion of the updated mineral resource estimate by one month to October 2026. Management noted that this temporary delay is not expected to impact the overall pre-feasibility study timeline, which remains targeted for delivery in the second or third quarter of 2027.

Activity across the wider San Juan district includes an initial discovery drill intercept of 468m at 0.50% copper and 0.30 g/t gold, including 164m at 0.70% copper and 0.44 g/t gold, at the Piuquenes project reported by Andina Copper Corporation in July 2026.
