Almadex Minerals Ltd. has commenced drilling on its King project in south-central Colorado, testing a copper-gold porphyry exploration target.

The property covers an area of intense porphyry lithocap and high-sulphidation alteration developed in volcanic rocks, alongside historic mining for turquoise. Geologic and alteration mapping in 2024 identified silicification and quartz-alunite alteration over a roughly three-by-three-kilometre area, within which several strong molybdenum-copper-gold anomalies were defined.

The company subsequently carried out induced polarisation and magnetics geophysical surveys. The induced polarisation survey helped define drill targets and highlighted a large chargeability feature generally coincident with the anomalous geochemistry. The first-pass program opens with an initial hole designed to orient and allow better planning for possible additional drilling, with Almadex planning potential further holes following the initial orientation stage.
