Altair Secures 29km2 SOKO Expansion

Altair Minerals Limited has secured an additional 29 square kilometres of critical adjoining permits for the South Oko project in Guyana, expanding its exposure to the Oko Shear Contact by approximately 30% to roughly 18 kilometres of strike.
The transaction lifts the total area of the Greater Oko Project to 457 square kilometres, reinforcing its position as the largest gold exploration project in the country. The newly acquired ground directly adjoins the project area where Altair is actively conducting sampling and drilling programs.
The company acquired the district-scale Greater Oko Project through a definitive agreement completed in October 2025, which initially spanned 590 square kilometres. To fund aggressive exploration across the asset, Altair strengthened its treasury in April 2026 through a A$28.2 million strategic placement to Endeavour Mining. Prior to securing the latest permits, the team commenced maiden reverse circulation drilling across the South Oko and North Peters prospects in September 2026 following successful maiden trenching results.
Management expects to develop new targets across the newly acquired permits within less than 3 months, allowing them to be integrated directly into current or subsequent drilling operations.
“It is my pleasure to report that Altair has secured a major expansion to South Oko, during a critical time as we are executing our drill programs. The importance of this milestone should not be underestimated, as we've spent numerous months closely looking at the geology, geochemistry, geomorphology and structural extensions to the mineralised corridors within the district - and identified these permits as high-priority due to them hosting all the key ingredients required for a potential discovery.”

Field teams are positioned to commence work immediately on the expanded footprint, leveraging existing exploration camps and equipment deployed for the ongoing campaign.
