Alurion Launches Amargosa Infill Drilling And Bulk Sampling For Mid-2027 PFS

Alurion Resources Limited has shifted from desk-bound resource definition to active field work at the Amargosa Bauxite-Gallium Project in Bahia, Brazil, launching an infill drilling and bulk-sample trenching program designed to underpin a pre-feasibility study targeted for mid-2027.
The technical program at Amargosa comprises 203 auger holes for 2,436 metres and 20 diamond twin holes for 800 metres across the project's Central District. This drilling is paired with up to 16 bulk-sample trenches spanning the Central and North Districts to recover representative material for metallurgical and product specification testing.
The Central District serves as the primary development anchor for the project, holding the largest share of Amargosa’s direct-shipping bauxite and beneficiable bauxite mineral resources. Historical exploration by Rio Tinto across the Central District provides a baseline grid for the current infill work, which aims to convert resources into higher-confidence categories required for mine planning.
In parallel with physical earthworks, Alurion is completing an independent road-logistics study. This assessment evaluates high-capacity road haulage routes north to the Port of Enseada, alongside a secondary route connecting to a potential FIOL rail load-out for medium-term export via Porto Sul.
Following its admission to the ASX on July 29, 2026, following a $50 million initial public offering, the company has also initiated preliminary discussions with potential industry partners regarding offtake. The initial stage direct-ship-bauxite project at Amargosa was evaluated in a Scoping Study based on a direct mine-to-port operation without a beneficiation plant or major fixed infrastructure.

Technical workstreams will continue through the second quarter of 2027 to deliver final inputs for the mid-2027 pre-feasibility study.
