American Tungsten & Antimony Outlines Expansion Plans for Del Sol Refinery
American Tungsten & Antimony Ltd has commenced site-based planning for the restart and expansion of the Del Sol Refinery in Nevada and the White Spar Antimony Mine in Arizona. These work programs remain conditional on the finalisation of the acquisition announced on 28 July 2026.
The company is evaluating a scale-up of the Del Sol facility, targeting an increase in permitted annual processing capacity from 18,500 short tons of feed to approximately 100,000 short tons. As part of this growth strategy, American Tungsten & Antimony has issued requests for proposal to international engineering firms to design capacity expansions for antimony flake production and the addition of circuits for Regulus II antimony metal, antimony trisulphide, sodium antimonate, and ammonium paratungstate.

Operational data gathered during the planned restart of the existing circuit is intended to inform these engineering studies. The company also expects this performance data to support future applications for United States government funding, including programs managed by the Defense Logistics Agency.
The restart of the Del Sol antimony flake circuit is currently targeted for the September 2026 quarter, using feedstock sourced from the White Spar mine. Initial phases of the restart are intended to establish baseline circuit performance, identify bottlenecks, and define the specific equipment upgrades required to meet higher production targets within the existing building footprint.
American Tungsten & Antimony continues to prioritize the acquisition of established, permitted assets to reduce the lead time and capital intensity typically associated with new critical minerals developments. This approach mirrors the company’s recent acquisition of the Dutch Mountain processing facility in Utah.
In parallel with ramp-up activities, the company has held pre-application meetings with the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection to address the requirements for expanding the refinery’s permitted capacity and incorporating new production circuits. Further progress on these workstreams, including the physical restart of the site, is contingent upon the successful completion of the underlying share sale and purchase agreement.
