Americas Gold and Silver Hits 7,123 g/t Silver in Galena Drilling
Americas Gold and Silver Corporation has returned high-grade silver, copper, lead and antimony assay results from an expanded underground drilling campaign at the Galena Complex and the neighboring Crescent Mine in Idaho.
The company intersected 0.4 metres grading 7,123 grams per tonne silver, 3.24 percent copper and 1.81 percent antimony at hole 24-407, marking a new discovery of the 9 Vein in an area lacking prior vein projections. Additional drilling on the operating 49 level of the Galena Mine cut 1.2 metres of 1,061 grams per tonne silver, 0.7 percent copper and 0.6 percent antimony at hole 49-817.

At the Crescent Mine, surface and underground core drilling across 45 completed holes yielded highlights including 1.3 metres of 1,891.1 grams per tonne silver and 0.3 percent copper at hole SF-013 and 1.1 metres of 1,559.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.1 percent copper. Drilling also identified two new veins near the historically mined Alhambra vein, including hole SF-003 intersecting 0.8 metres of 939.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.1 percent copper.
Americas Gold and Silver acquired 100% ownership of the Galena Complex in Idaho in December 2024 through a transaction with Eric Sprott, uniting the asset as a cornerstone U.S. silver operation. In June 2026, the company completed Phase 2 of the No. 3 Shaft modernization program at the Galena Complex, which increased hoisting capacity by 100% to support planned production growth.
“Our recent drilling across the Galena Complex has continued to deliver exceptional results. The high-grade discovery of the 9 Vein (24-407 intersecting 0.4m of 7,123 g/t Ag, 3.24 %Cu and 1.81% Sb) in an area without any vein projections is a typical example of the numerous opportunities for new discoveries at Galena, even in higher levels with significant historical mining.” — Paul Andre Huet, Chairman and CEO
The ongoing infill program at Crescent is designed to provide detailed data for mine planning ahead of scheduled mining operations at the Crescent Mine in 2027. Americas Gold and Silver also plans to release an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Crescent Mine in 2027.
Elsewhere in the district, activity continues to advance, with the Sunshine Mine project holding an Indicated Mineral Resource of 103.9 million ounces of silver at an average grade of 1,022 grams per tonne, alongside an Inferred Mineral Resource of 159.8 million ounces at 776 grams per tonne as reported by Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining Company.
