Angkor Resources Corp. has completed 1,099 metres of diamond drilling in the initial phase of its program at the Thmei North copper-gold target on the Andong Bor license in Cambodia.

The initial phase was staged around local seasonal conditions, wrapping up in mid-July ahead of the heaviest rains. A further 1,700 metres of drilling is scheduled for early 2027 once fields are dry and crops are harvested, minimising access disruption and crop damage.

The 100.28-square-kilometre license straddles Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces. Following structural analysis showing that mineralising structures strike north-northwest and dip steeply west, the initial three holes were oriented to the east to better intersect mineralised beds within potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes.

Core recovery and logging from the 1,099 metres already drilled are underway, with cutting, sampling, and assay dispatch set to follow over the coming weeks. The second phase of the Thmei North program and subsequent activities on Thmei South will continue in 2027.
