Angkor Resources Hits Visual Chalcopyrite and Identifies Steep Structural Contacts in Andong Bor Core

Angkor Resources Corp. has reported preliminary visual geological observations from its 2026 diamond drill program at the Thmei North target on the Andong Bor copper-gold license in Cambodia, where logging indicates that high-grade copper is hosted within metasedimentary rocks.
The company is currently splitting the drill core to ship samples to ALS in Phnom Penh for assay. While feldspar porphyry intrusive rocks host porphyry-style mineralization — including 'B' and 'D' veins — assays from these units are mostly at or below 2,000 parts per million copper. Logging confirms that values increase dramatically near reactive wall rock, with visually significant chalcopyrite occupying fractures in the metasedimentary sequence.
“Visually it is clear that the best copper mineralization in this core is hosted by the metasedimentary rocks. In proximity to the highly reactive wall rock, the values increase dramatically. That is exactly what these holes were designed to intersect, and the core we are splitting now looks very much like the holes we have drilled before.”

Previous drilling encountered faulted contacts and poor core recovery, preventing geologists from determining structural relationships. The 2026 program has resolved this, revealing steep contacts ranging from 70 to 80 degrees, with mineralization occurring as disseminations and along fractures parallel to the contacts.
Testing the western boundaries of the copper anomaly 150 metres east of previous holes, drill hole AB26-012D encountered sparse copper but abundant pyrite-dominant mineralization for the first 200 metres from the surface.
“The third hole is a different story. There is very little copper in it, but there is a great deal of pyrite — frequently for the first 200 metres from surface — and it descriptively resembles other gold targets in the Loei Fold Belt. The assays will tell us which.”

Angkor is awaiting assay results from ALS in Phnom Penh. The company secured approximately $3.5 million in August 2026 through a financing package with Sorbie Bornholm LP to support ongoing exploration, and plans a second phase of drilling at Thmei North alongside work at Thmei South in 2027.
