Anson Resources Limited (ASN) has secured formal letters of support from three members of the United States House of Representatives for its pending grant applications with the Department of Energy. The endorsement from Utah representatives—Mike Kennedy, Blake Moore, and Burgess Owens—bolsters the company’s efforts to secure federal funding for the Green River lithium project.

The company has submitted three separate applications to the Department of Energy, collectively requesting USD $85 million in net funding. These submissions target programs focused on mine capacity expansion, battery materials processing, and future-ready mining technology. If successful, the grants would provide non-dilutive capital to support the construction of a 100-ton-per-year demonstration plant at the site. This facility is intended to extract lithium from raw brine using modular process trains, producing high-purity lithium chloride for battery-grade conversion.

These applications are part of a broader capital stack strategy aimed at moving the project toward a final investment decision in the second half of 2027. By pursuing these government grants, management intends to secure development funding without issuing new shares or incurring debt.

The Department of Energy has not yet provided a definitive timeline for determining the success of these grant requests. Alongside this funding pursuit, the company continues technical development, including ongoing wellfield engineering work managed by Baker Hughes. Management maintains that this combination of federal engagement and active project engineering remains central to establishing the site as a future lithium producer within the United States.
