Antares Metals Hits 65.2 g/t Au at Quinns and Expands Maiden Drill Targets
Antares Metals Limited has returned rock chip assays up to 65.2 g/t gold from the Fennell prospect and advanced three priority targets to maiden drill design at its 383-square-kilometre Quinns project in Western Australia.
The exploration update covers 94 rock chip samples collected across the company's tenure in the Meekatharra greenstone belt. Previous operators at Quinns focused primarily on volcanogenic massive sulphide copper-zinc mineralisation, leaving the orogenic gold potential largely untested.
Recent mapping and sampling at the Fennell prospect doubled the width of the mineralised zone from 130 metres to 250 metres over 150 metres of strike. High-grade results included sample QURK116 at 65.20 g/t gold, QURK083 at 16.63 g/t gold, QURK082 at 8.77 g/t gold, and QURK093 at 4.38 g/t gold, hosted within banded iron formation settings typical of the Murchison Province.
In addition to Fennell, Antares has advanced the Finlay prospect and a newly identified Venture target to first-pass drilling. The Venture prospect is defined by a 600-metre by 250-metre gold soil anomaly sitting along trend from the historic Enterprise Mine, which produced 865 ounces of gold at an average grade of 19.3 g/t between 1897 and 1917.
"Quinns has been hiding in plain sight. Recent operators have chased the VMS copper-zinc, so nobody had systematically tested the gold. This recent work has delivered 65 g/t gold and has expanded the high grades at Fennell plus high grades at three more targets. The Venture anomaly sitting along trend from a mine that recovered nearly 20 g/t gold a century ago tells you how much of this belt has never been looked at properly. With the Burnakura mill 10km down the road and gold where it is today, the job now is simple: clear heritage, lock the targets, and get a rig turning."

The Quinns project benefits from regional infrastructure, lying approximately 10 kilometres from Monument Mining’s Burnakura Mill and 50 kilometres from Westgold Resources’ Bluebird and Tuckabianna Mills. In the surrounding district, Great Boulder Resources reported high-grade gold extensions at its Side Well project in July 2026.
Antares plans to commence maiden drilling across the Fennell, Finlay, and Venture targets, supported by upcoming heritage surveys scheduled to begin in mid-August 2026 to clear the way for EIS-co-funded RC and diamond drilling.
