Ejido Benito Juárez has scheduled a community assembly for September 20, 2026, where members are expected to vote on lifting the 2012 exploration and development moratorium at the Cinco de Mayo project and accepting a long-term access agreement.

The upcoming vote marks a pivotal shift for the Buenaventura Municipality property in Chihuahua, Mexico, addressing the single largest impediment to advancing the project since the community imposed the ban over a decade ago. Apollo Silver optioned the 25,000-hectare property in September 2024 to mitigate single-asset risk and bolster its mineral inventory alongside its principal U.S. operations.

The Cinco de Mayo property hosts carbonate replacement deposits including the Upper Manto lead-zinc-silver-gold deposit, which has a historical 2012 Inferred Mineral Resource estimate totaling 12.45 million tonnes grading 132 grams per tonne silver, 2.86 per cent lead, 6.47 per cent zinc, and 0.24 gram per tonne gold at a US$100 per tonne net smelter return cut-off. Historical estimates indicate contained metals of 52.7 million ounces of silver, 785 million pounds of lead, 1,777 million pounds of zinc, and 96,000 ounces of gold, alongside the unmodelled Pegaso Zone discovery identified as a high-priority exploration target.

Apollo Silver is not a participant in the assembly or its voting process. Future activities at the property will be determined by the outcome of the community vote, alongside required regulatory approvals and ongoing local engagement.
