Arianne Phosphate Secures Government Support for Lac à Paul Permitting
Arianne Phosphate Inc. has been selected as one of the first recipients of the “Filon” service, a specialized support initiative launched by the Québec Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts. The service is designed to streamline regulatory, authorization, and permitting processes for strategic mining projects within the province.
The inclusion of the Lac à Paul project in the Filon program aims to enhance coordination between mining proponents and the various government agencies responsible for regulatory approvals. The initiative aligns with the Québec Strategy for the Development of Critical and Strategic Minerals 2025-2031, which seeks to improve the efficiency and predictability of authorization pathways for major assets.
“We are honoured that the Lac à Paul project is among the first projects selected to benefit from the specialized support offered by Filon”
— Marco Gagnon, Executive Chairman of Arianne Phosphate
“The personalized Filon support is an additional lever to propel mining projects for the benefit of Québec’s development and its regions.”
— Kateri Champagne Jourdain, Minister of Natural Resources and Forests
Lac à Paul is a development-stage asset focused on producing high-purity apatite concentrate. The project targets both the fertilizer market and the production of purified phosphoric acid, a component used in lithium-iron-phosphate batteries. The current priority is the advancement of the project through the Filon service to improve regulatory process predictability and support the development of North American supply chains.
