Aris Mining Corporation has commenced construction of a permanent 109-metre modular steel bridge across the Puruni River at Puruni Landing in Guyana to support access to the Toroparu gold project.

The bridge will provide a permanent crossing alongside the existing pontoon crossing, strengthening an essential access route to Toroparu while improving connectivity for communities and businesses using the Puruni corridor. The infrastructure will also allow heavy industrial traffic to be diverted away from the main community road.

Construction is being undertaken by the company in coordination with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Public Works, and other relevant agencies. Completion of the crossing is targeted for December 2026.

The bridge is an early infrastructure initiative advanced by the project team while the Toroparu pre-feasibility study continues toward completion in the fourth quarter of 2026. Toroparu’s planned transport route involves moving heavy equipment and cargo by barge to Itaballi and then by road to the site, crossing the Puruni River at Puruni Landing.

Following the merger that formed the company, management paused previous construction plans for Toroparu to reassess the project on a first-principles basis, leading to an updated mineral resource estimate and a preliminary economic assessment. Following the current pre-feasibility study, Aris Mining expects a formal construction decision for Toroparu in early 2027.
