Arrow Minerals Limited has progressed its Niagara Bauxite Project following the award of a new three-year industrial exploration permit to its 100% owned subsidiary, Mineralfields Bauxite SARLU, replacing its previous permit status.

The initial exploration target for the project, estimated in August 2024 at 170 million to 340 million tonnes grading 40% to 46% Al2O3, evolved following the company’s maiden drilling campaign into a maiden Mineral Resource of 185 million tonnes at 42.3% Al2O3 and 2.7% SiO2. That resource includes higher-grade subsets of 138 million tonnes at 44% Al2O3 and 2.8% SiO2, and an inner core of 48 million tonnes at 48.2% Al2O3 and 2.6% SiO2.

To compile the resource estimate, Arrow incorporated historical drilling data from Brazilian resources giant Vale alongside its own 184 drill holes and completed metallurgical test work.

“The Niagara Bauxite Project is a world class development opportunity. In our first drilling programme the team defined a fantastic high grade resource and kicked off a Scoping Study for a 3 to 4 Mtpa export project. The Simandou multi-user railway is up and running and we look forward to demonstrating that Niagara is a highly compelling project by any standard.”

— David Flanagan, Managing Director

The ongoing Scoping Study is investigating capital and operating costs for a 3 to 4 million tonnes per annum export operation that would utilise the nearby Simandou multi-user railway line.

Following the permit award, environmental studies and bulk sampling pitting crews are scheduled to return to the field in the coming weeks once land taxes are paid and an annual Environmental Authorisation Certificate is obtained. Arrow plans to report updated Scoping Study packages and outcomes over the balance of 2026.

If the Scoping Study yields positive results, the company intends to prepare a further study satisfying project finance and Guinea mining code requirements to support an exploitation permit application and a Final Investment Decision.
