Asante Extends Senior Facility Debt Deadlines to September

Asante Gold Corporation has secured deadline extensions from its senior lenders and hedge counterparties for key financing milestones tied to its Senior Facilities Agreement.
The agreement pushes back the deadline for securing at least US$100 million in aggregate new funding from August 31, 2026, to September 30, 2026. The lenders also extended the delivery date for a cost-to-complete certificate from August 20, 2026, to the same September date.
The extensions grant the company additional time to continue discussions with lenders regarding new financing structures or amendments to existing agreements. Asante aims to secure additional capital on terms that minimize further dilution to its shareholders.
While the company intends to implement a capital solution that minimizes dilution and is encouraged by the constructive discussions and support received from its financing partners and other key stakeholders, there remains no assurance as to the precise structure, timing or terms of any future financing, or that any particular financing alternative will be completed.
Asante operates the Bibiani Gold Mine in Ghana's Western North Region, where commercial production commenced on November 10, 2022, following historical gold production of more than 4.5 million ounces. The mine is fully permitted with on-site mining and processing infrastructure, including a refurbished process plant.
The company also operates the Chirano Gold Mine in Ghana's Western Region. Chirano is an open-pit and underground operation first explored and developed in 1996, with production beginning in October 2005. Asante acquired the operation in August 2022, and the mine has produced over 3 million ounces of gold. In addition, the company raised $179.4 million from a bought deal private placement in January 2026 to fund development and growth expenditures across both the Bibiani and Chirano operations.
