Asara Resources Limited (ASX: AS1) has reported significant new assay results from the southern extension of the Massan deposit at its flagship Kada gold project in Guinea. The latest drilling program, which utilised both reverse circulation and diamond drill rigs, provides the first systematic coverage of a southern area that had previously seen very limited exploration.

The results confirm that gold mineralisation continues into this southern zone, bolstering the company's interpretation of the deposit's scale. Among the notable intercepts, drill hole MSRC26-167 returned 47m @ 8.0 g/t Au, a result that included an exceptionally high-grade section of 8m @ 42.2 g/t Au. This specific hole also intersected two consecutive one-meter intervals grading over 130 g/t gold. These findings appear to align with earlier drilling conducted approximately 500 meters along strike, which previously identified high-grade gold mineralisation exceeding 150 g/t over one meter.

Company leadership noted that the completion of a recent farm compensation program was a critical operational step, finally granting access to these southern fence lines for systematic testing.

"These results represent an important milestone for the Massan Deposit, with the first drill results now being returned from the long-awaited southern fence lines."

"Importantly, these results continue to demonstrate that mineralisation extends well beyond the current centre of the deposit and reinforces our confidence in the Resource growth potential at Massan."

The current drilling campaign remains active, with a fleet of five rigs—comprising three reverse circulation, one combination RC/air core, and one diamond drill rig—continuing to operate across the deposit. The immediate focus is to execute the remaining planned drill holes as quickly as possible to ensure the data is captured for upcoming technical reporting.

This activity is being conducted with a clear deadline in mind. The company is currently working toward a definitive cutoff date for its drilling data to ensure the new information is fully integrated into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the project, which is scheduled for delivery in August 2026. These results are expected to be foundational to that updated resource calculation, as the company seeks to confirm the broader continuity of the mineralised system beyond the existing resource core. By systematically testing the previously under-drilled southern extension, Asara aims to demonstrate a significant expansion of the known gold endowment at the project site.
