Astral Resources Hits Thick High-Grade Gold in Theia In-Fill Drilling
Astral Resources NL has returned assay results for 41 reverse circulation holes covering 4,456 metres from an ongoing in-fill drilling program at the Theia Stage 1 open pit, part of the 100%-owned Mandilla Gold Project located 70 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.
The latest batch of in-fill assays yielded a weighted average grade of 1.54g/t gold. Standout intersections include 7 metres at 10.4g/t gold from 133 metres, which included a 1-metre interval at 53.0g/t gold in hole AMRC446, and 13 metres at 5.00g/t gold from 36 metres, featuring a 1-metre sample grading 36.8g/t gold in hole AMRC431.
Other notable intercepts comprise 4 metres at 13.5g/t gold from 106 metres in hole AMRC410 and 11 metres at 4.00g/t gold from 34 metres in hole AMRC444.
In addition to the standard in-fill program, Astral Resources received results from a diamond-tailed reverse circulation hole drilled inside the Stage 1 open pit footprint as part of the Theia Deeps program. Hole AMRCD374 was terminated early at a depth of 318.9 metres due to excessive deviation. Despite stopping before reaching target depth, the hole intersected 1 metre at 219g/t gold from 25 metres and 3 metres at 15.4g/t gold from 141 metres.
“Importantly, we are continuing to see substantial widths of mineralisation together with discrete high- grade zones, with standout results including 7m at 10.4g/t Au, 13m at 5.0g/t Au, 4m at 13.5g/t Au and 11m at 4.0g/t Au in addition to numerous other significant intercepts. The average weighted grade of 1.54g/t Au across this latest batch of assays gives us further confidence that the current program is not only delivering on but exceeding expectations.”

The company has completed 225 holes totaling 22,705 metres for the Theia Stage 1 in-fill program. Astral Resources has planned a further 206 holes totaling approximately 21,248 metres to continue the campaign.
Meanwhile, the Theia Deeps diamond drilling program remains active, with assay results pending for seven holes representing 4,227 metres of completed drilling.
