Athena Hits 10.67m at 3.76 g/t Gold at Excelsior Springs
Athena Gold Corporation has reported new exploration results from the Excelsior Springs Project in Nevada, where option partner Mammoth Minerals Limited has intersected 3.76 g/t gold over 10.67 metres from reverse circulation drilling at Lunchbox Ridge.

The reverse circulation hole, designated MEXRC2637, targeted a geophysical feature along the Buster Trend corridor from a depth of 198.2 metres. The work expanded known mineralization along a previously untested parallel structure that remains open along strike and down-dip.
Previous reverse circulation drilling at Lunchbox Ridge reported an intercept of 22.9 metres at 1.37 g/t gold. The current drilling returned a higher-grade intercept of 3.76 g/t gold over a narrower 10.67-metre interval in hole MEXRC2637.
In addition to the drilling results, Mammoth reported high-grade surface sampling from the western extents of parallel trends at the Blue Dick Prospect. Notable assays included 1,190 g/t silver, 4.7 g/t gold and 4.55% lead from sample MREX01209, as well as 891 g/t silver, 10.7 g/t gold, 1.7% lead and 3.7% zinc from sample MREX01206. Sample MREX01194 returned 1,078 g/t silver, 11.8 g/t gold, 1.1% copper, 8.5% lead and 15.3% zinc, while sample MREX01174 yielded 1,388 g/t silver, 0.6 g/t gold and 0.28% antimony.
Athena expanded the Excelsior Springs Project in June 2024 by acquiring a 100% interest in the 89-hectare Blue Dick Mine claims for US$45,000 in cash and a 3% net smelter return royalty.
Mammoth is exploring the project pursuant to an option agreement to earn an 80% interest over five years, providing Athena with a free-carry to a Definitive Feasibility Study thereafter. Athena remains a significant shareholder of Mammoth.
Reverse circulation drilling at the Blue Dick Prospect is ongoing, with nine of 29 planned holes completed across priority trends spanning a cumulative more than 6.5 kilometres of mapped mineralization. Samples have been submitted for analysis, with additional holes remaining in the approximately 5,000-metre program. Mammoth has also initiated work on an initial Mineral Resource Estimate and Exploration Target for the Excelsior Springs Project.
