Au Gold Corp has selected two high-priority diamond drill targets at its Havelock Gold-Antimony Project in Victoria, Australia, following the completion of a historical long section reconstruction along the Shaw-McFarlane Trend.

The company acquired a 100% interest in the 11,663-hectare Havelock project in March 2026 pursuant to an agreement with Leviathan Gold Australia. Au Gold identifies the project as its flagship gold-antimony asset located in the Victorian Gold Fields, alongside the Ponderosa gold project in British Columbia.

Prior to selecting drill targets, the company completed a historical long section reconstruction compiling data from approximately 17 historical shafts along a 5-kilometre strike length of the Shaw-McFarlane Trend.

The first target, McFarlane’s, focuses on the down-plunge continuation of historical gold-antimony mineralization mined in the 1880s to a depth of 350 feet, or 107 metres, where average treated grades were historically estimated around 23 g/t gold. Phase 1 diamond drilling will systematically target this down-plunge extent.

The second target, Shaw’s No.1 North, is situated in the central part of the trend where historical mining reached a depth of 180 feet, or 55 metres, over a 140-metre strike length. Diamond drilling will test the region directly beneath the 180-foot level to determine mineralized shoot continuity and will also test a parallel reef located approximately 10 metres east of the main workings. Both identified targets require permission from private landowners, and Au Gold is currently in active access discussions with both parties.

“We are extremely excited to have identified these two high-priority targets along the Shaw-McFarlane Trend which was a productive gold belt in the 1800’s. The first targets announced in this release are the McFarlane historical gold-antimony mineralization and the nearby 514 ounces of gold reportedly recovered from the Dam target in 2010, both of which initially drew AUGC to this project.” — Marc Blythe, Founder & CEO of Au Gold

Modern technical literature suggests high-grade gold associated with abundant antimony in Victoria can indicate an epizonal gold system. Other regional operators have reported significant findings in the surrounding district, including Alkane Resources Limited reporting a high-grade gold-antimony discovery at the Cuffley Lode within its Costerfield operation.

Au Gold will conduct phase 1 diamond drilling to test the target areas once landowner access agreements are finalised, while continuing preparations across the broader Shaw-McFarlane Trend.
