Augustus Minerals completed three reverse circulation holes for 486 metres at the Clifton East prospect within the Music Well Gold Project in Western Australia before heavy rainfall suspended site activities.

Drilling halted on 29 August after rain impacted access tracks, with further storms on 6 and 7 September extending the shutdown. Augustus holds exploration licenses covering the 1,242-square-kilometre project area, 35 kilometres north of Leonora.

We have a few creeks/drainages to cross along station tracks to access the drill sites and once they are saturated, they take a while to dry out sufficiently to allow trucks through.”

Warm weather is expected to accelerate track drying ahead of a site inspection. One reverse circulation hole remains at Clifton East before the rig tests the St Patrick's Well prospect. Previous rock chip sampling there returned high-grade assays including 30.4g/t gold, 20.4g/t gold, and 21.7g/t gold over a 600-metre strike length.

Assays from the first diamond drill core hole, MWD0001, are expected within two weeks. Samples from the completed Clifton East holes have been submitted to a Kalgoorlie laboratory, with results anticipated in mid to late October 2026.

The rig is scheduled to move to the St Patrick's Well prospect following completion of the final hole at Clifton East.
