AuKing Mining Limited (ASX: AKN) has received official approval from the Malawi Ministry of Mining to export initial drill samples collected from its Tundulu Rare Earths Project. This regulatory clearance allows the company to move forward with the analysis of geological data gathered during its current exploration campaign in southern Malawi.

The drilling program at Tundulu is being executed by Thompson Resources. Field teams have completed 3,524 metres of reverse circulation drilling, covering 24 individual holes. These samples are currently being transported to an Intertek laboratory in Zambia for initial preparation. Once processed, the materials will be forwarded to Perth, Australia, to undergo comprehensive assay analysis.

This logistical milestone is essential for the transition from field operations to laboratory evaluation. The company aims to utilise these results to better understand the mineralisation characteristics at the site. Following the dispatch of these samples, the company expects to receive the first batch of assay data by late July 2026. Management has noted the cooperation of the Malawian authorities in streamlining these required export procedures. The completion of this current drilling phase represents a significant step in the project's ongoing technical assessment and data gathering phase for the current exploration season.
