Auravelle Metals Limited is preparing to commence a 3,500-metre discovery-focused aircore drilling program at the Nuckulla Hill Gold Project in South Australia in a matter of days.

The upcoming campaign will test five distinct targets across the tenement situated along the Yarlbrinda Shear Zone: Sheoak North, Myall, Sauna, Bimba West, and Bimba North. All five prospects are associated with coincident gold and silver geochemical anomalism and are proximal to interpreted lithostructural targets. Among them, Sheoak North and Myall form part of a 3.5-kilometre trend of gold anomalism that remains open to both the north and south, having seen very limited drilling outside of the Sheoak prospect itself. The Yarlbrinda Shear Zone hosts Barton Gold Holdings Limited's neighbouring 1.6-million-ounce Tunkillia Gold Project.

Managing Director Andrew Muir pointed to the underexplored nature of the regional trend while outlining the strategy behind the upcoming work.

“We consider the Yarlbrinda Shear zone to be highly prospective for gold mineralisation, as evidenced by Barton Gold's large Tunkillia deposit, and the high-grade results Auravelle has already returned from Sheoak. However, vast sections of the Shear zone have seen little to no drilling testing.”

Field operations for the aircore program are expected to take seven to 10 days to complete. Assay results from the drilling are anticipated approximately four to six weeks after the program finishes.

Reverse circulation follow-up drilling is scheduled to commence soon after aircore completion. That subsequent phase will focus on infilling and extending coverage at Sheoak, along with testing additional work at Sheoak East and Bimba.
