Aureka Intersects High-Grade Gold Outside Irvine Resource

Aureka Limited has intersected high-grade gold mineralisation outside its current mineral resource at the Irvine Gold Project in western Victoria, returning 3.92m at 4.74g/t Au from 238.82m in diamond drill hole RD058.
The partial assay results from RD058 indicate a new northern mineralised structure situated immediately below and west of the northern portion of the Resolution lode. The intercept includes 0.72m at 9.18g/t Au from 238.82m and 0.5m at 16.1g/t Au from 241.64m. Aureka plans to report further assay results once they have been finalised and have passed QAQC.
Further shallow drilling at South Resolution within the Advanced Exploration Target returned 3.5m at 2.79g/t Au from 155.1m in hole RD054, including 0.7m at 8.78g/t Au. Challenging ground conditions and increased structural complexity caused the hole to terminate within the mineralised zone, and the company intends to re-target and re-drill the hole from another angle.
Diamond drilling has also returned the first significant mineralisation within the under-explored 2km gap between the Resolution and Adventure lodes. The results confirm reef continuity 75m vertically from surface on the western flank of the Irvine basalt. Aureka has completed approximately 59km of diamond drilling across the project since discovery in 2017.
“As Aureka strives to increase upon the 398koz Mineral Resource1 at Irvine, these latest significant assay results continue to affirm the remarkable fertility of the greater mineral system at Irvine. The most recent intercepts successfully demonstrate extensions beyond current JORC Mineral Resource Estimate and the historically mined Eaglehawk workings and reiterate the importance of exploring for additional gold mineralisation associated with emerging second order structures distal to the main Irvine Shear, host to the Resolution and Adventure Lodes. The Eaglehawk intercepts at Irvine are within an area where very limited diamond drilling has previously been completed and the results continue to prove the potential for ongoing new discoveries as well as the expansive preserved exploration upside that exists within the greater Irvine and Stawell mineralised corridor.”
