Aurelia Metals Boosts Group Ore Reserves 49%

Aurelia Metals Limited has lifted its total Group Ore Reserve estimate by 49% after depletion to 8.2 million tonnes for the year ended 30 June 2026, compared to 5.5 million tonnes in 2025.
The updated inventory is underpinned by growth across the company’s Cobar Basin portfolio in New South Wales. The overall Group Mineral Resource estimate increased by 6% post-depletion to 30.6 million tonnes, comprising 28.0 million tonnes in underground resources and 2.6 million tonnes of tailings material.
At the Peak Operation, the underground Ore Reserve estimate grew 22% post-depletion to approximately 4.1 million tonnes, featuring a gold grade of 1.8g/t alongside base metal content. The Peak underground Mineral Resource also increased after depletion to 21.4 million tonnes, which includes 19.6 million tonnes of copper resources at 1.8% copper and 0.8g/t gold. Correspondingly, the Peak underground production target expanded by 25% to approximately 6.4 million tonnes.
Infill drilling at the Federation project defined a higher-grade base metal deposit, pushing the Mineral Resource grade to 14.7% lead and zinc compared to 12.1% in 2025 over more constrained tonnage. The proportion of the resource classified in the Measured category rose to 16%, up from 2% previously. To unlock further growth, Aurelia has designed an exploration decline scheduled for excavation during fiscal 2027 to establish underground drilling platforms.
The company also incorporated the New Occidental Tailings into its inventory, adding a Mineral Resource estimate of 2.6 million tonnes at 0.65g/t gold and an Ore Reserve estimate of 2.3 million tonnes at 0.64g/t gold. A feasibility study for the tailings retreatment project is progressing through the first half of fiscal 2027, with plans to process the material through the Peak plant alongside 1.1 to 1.2 million tonnes of fresh underground ore feed.
“The updated Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve inventory provides the foundation for a long life operation in the Cobar Basin. Peak remains the cornerstone of our business, underpinned by a growing copper and gold Resource base, while Federation continues to evolve as a high-grade ore source, providing operational flexibility and growth opportunities.”

The resource and reserve updates follow Aurelia achieving financial close in June 2026 on a A$150 million senior secured financing package. Mining One independently audited the 2026 estimates and identified no fatal flaws.
