Australian Gold and Copper Discovers New Western Gold-Silver Zone at Evergreen

Australian Gold and Copper Ltd has intersected new gold-silver-rich zones within oxide mineralisation at the Evergreen prospect in New South Wales, highlighted by drill hole 26DDBR013 returning 13.6 metres at 4.6 grams per tonne gold and 23 grams per tonne silver from 51.4 metres.
The intercepts were located approximately 35 metres west of the main base-metal-rich zone at Evergreen. Hole 26DDBR013 also returned 3.9 metres at 3.2 grams per tonne gold and 153 grams per tonne silver from 109 metres, alongside 7 metres at 0.6 grams per tonne gold, 12 grams per tonne silver, and 7.7 percent zinc plus lead from 190 metres.
Core recovery in the shallow oxide gold zone was restricted to 50 percent due to the strongly oxidised and broken nature of the host rock, with diamond drilling interpreted to have washed away some friable mineralised material. A reverse circulation drill rig has been positioned to test the zone further with a scissor hole and along strike to the north and south. Nine reverse circulation holes have now been completed, with assay results for drill hole 26DDBR017 currently pending.
Australian Gold and Copper acquired the Browns-Evergreen project in 2025 as a second resource opportunity located 30 kilometres from its Achilles discovery in the South Cobar Basin. The company's Achilles discovery hosts an initial 38.5 million ounce silver equivalent resource where 58 percent is classified as Indicated.
“The results are particularly encouraging because mineralisation remains open to the north, south, and at depth. We also have a further seven completed diamond holes with assays pending and nine recently completed RC holes which will be important in defining the scale and continuity of the Evergreen system.”
“With RC drilling now testing the shallow oxide zone, AGC is rapidly advancing Evergreen towards an initial Mineral Resource Estimate.”
— Glen Diemar, Managing Director
Drilling operations are continuing across the 6-kilometre-long project as the company seeks to build on the newly identified mineralised structural zones.
