Australian Mines Appoints Michael McNeilly Chair
Australian Mines Limited has appointed Michael McNeilly as independent non-executive Chair of the Board, effective 17 September 2026.
Michael Ramsden will step down from the role after serving as Chair and will remain on the Board as a non-executive director. Director fees for both individuals will be adjusted to reflect the company’s standard fee differential between the Chair and ordinary non-executive directors, with no other appointment terms varied.
Mr McNeilly brings extensive capital markets, corporate finance and listed-company experience across the global natural resources sector. The board expects that corporate development and transaction background will support Australian Mines as it advances the Flemington Scandium Project in New South Wales and evaluates portfolio opportunities.
The 100%-owned New South Wales asset hosts a Mineral Resource Estimate of 6.3 million tonnes at 446 parts per million scandium. Australian Mines is advancing a fast-tracked pre-feasibility study for the deposit to assess the technical and economic potential to increase annual scandium oxide production up to 180 tonnes per annum.
