Australian Mines has confirmed that its existing Water Access Licence WAL41718 for the Flemington Scandium Project in New South Wales remains current and valid, securing a baseline supply entitlement as technical studies advance.

The water licence, acquired on the open market in 2017, forms a foundational part of the project's baseline water requirements. A previous scoping study evaluated a 60-tonne-per-annum scandium development case, estimating steady-state water demand at approximately 454 megalitres per year.

The ongoing Pre-Feasibility Study is assessing water requirements and supply options for that 60-tonne-per-annum baseline alongside an expanded production scale of up to 180 tonnes per annum of scandium oxide. Australian Mines is reviewing proposals for hydrogeological investigations to assess potential groundwater supply sources as part of the broader project water balance and supply assessment.

The up-to-180-tonnes-per-annum production scenario is an assessment case being evaluated as part of the Pre-Feasibility Study and does not represent a new production target or forecast financial information at this stage.

The company is advancing the fast-tracked Pre-Feasibility Study and related hydrogeological investigations to evaluate supply options ahead of final project configuration decisions.
