Automata Rare Earth Corp. has submitted applications for exploration permits to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for its Burnt Pond Project, setting the stage for a maiden diamond drill program of 2,500 to 5,000 metres planned to begin in the late fall.

The applications cover a comprehensive exploration program across the property in the Tally Pond volcanic massive sulphide belt of Central Newfoundland. The planned work encompasses 103 proposed drill holes, alongside 750 surface geochemical samples comprising 250 soil, 250 rock and 250 till samples, as well as ground and airborne geophysical surveys. Trust Drilling Inc. of Springdale, Newfoundland has been selected as the drilling contractor for the program.

Automata Rare Earth holds an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Burnt Pond Project under an agreement with Newfoundland Gold Retriever Corp., supported by an independent NI 43-101 technical report filed in June 2026. The company changed its corporate name from Cullinan Metals Corp. to Automata Rare Earth in June 2026 to reflect its strategic focus on critical minerals, rare earth elements, and copper. In addition to Burnt Pond, the company holds an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Oculus Rare Earth Project located in Central Labrador.

Commenting on the upcoming program, Chief Executive Officer Chris Huggins said, “With permits in process, a drill contractor selected, and an aggressive fall program planned, we believe Automata is positioned for a breakout season of discovery-focused exploration.”
