Aztec Minerals has intercepted thick oxide gold-silver mineralization at its Tombstone project in Arizona, with the first step-out drill holes in the newly acquired North Extension zone yielding significant intervals.

Hole TR26-39 returned 88.4 metres at 1.69 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq) from 10.7 metres, including a higher-grade core of 6.1 metres at 13.25 g/t AuEq. Additionally, drill hole TR26-38 in the Contention zone intersected 97.5 metres at 1.36 g/t AuEq from surface, which also contained a 6.1-metre interval grading 13.43 g/t AuEq.

The results from nine reverse circulation holes reinforce the company’s focus on bulk-tonnage, potentially heap-leachable material. Aztec’s shares are currently up 7.69% to $0.28 on August 5, 2026.

The current exploration campaign, which has reached 90 completed holes, will continue through at least September 2026. Aztec is awaiting assay results for 11 additional step-out holes (TR26-40 to TR26-50) expected in the coming weeks. Data from these holes and the current program will be incorporated into the company’s upcoming maiden mineral resource estimate for the project.
