Aztec Minerals Corp. has extended the strike length of the Contention mineralized system by 255 meters to over 1,250 meters at its Tombstone Property in southeastern Arizona, returning oxide gold-silver mineralization across five new reverse circulation drill holes.

Drill hole TR26-41 returned 83.8 meters averaging 0.90 g/t gold and 22.61 g/t silver, or 1.31 g/t gold equivalent, from 24.4 meters, including a higher-grade interval of 7.6 meters averaging 6.97 g/t gold and 75.42 g/t silver, or 8.34 g/t gold equivalent, from 42.7 meters.

Four of the reported holes represent first-pass step-outs along the Contention system, with all five holes intersecting mineralization and no barren intervals recorded between the ends of the new step-out zone. Hole TR26-43, the most northerly assay reported to date, was collared 126 meters northeast of TR26-41 and intersected 51.8 meters averaging 0.70 g/t gold and 25.59 g/t silver, or 1.16 g/t gold equivalent, from 85.3 meters, including a 19.8-meter interval averaging 1.93 g/t gold and 58.01 g/t silver, or 2.99 g/t gold equivalent, from 109.7 meters. At the southern end, hole TR26-44 returned multiple mineralized zones, including 22.9 meters averaging 0.79 g/t gold and 8.25 g/t silver, or 0.94 g/t gold equivalent, from 10.7 meters and a deeper 51.8-meter interval averaging 0.55 g/t gold and 5.61 g/t silver, or 0.65 g/t gold equivalent, from 77.7 meters.

The current 2025–2026 drill program has completed 93 reverse circulation holes. Assay results are pending for nine additional completed holes, including two collared further north along the trend beyond TR26-43. Drilling is scheduled to continue through at least September 2026.

Data from the newly reported holes, alongside results from holes TR26-45 through TR26-50, will be incorporated into the company's maiden mineral resource estimate, scheduled for publication in the fourth quarter of 2026. Assay results for holes TR26-45 to TR26-53 are anticipated in the coming weeks.

“Five holes reported, four of them first-pass step-outs, and all five mineralized, with high grade at both ends and nothing barren in between. The system is open to the north and to the sides, we have nine completed holes with assays pending including two collared beyond TR26-43, and we expect to keep extending it through the balance of the program.”
