Azzuro Resources PLC has reported final assay results from its 2026 drilling program at the 100%-owned Red Hill Copper-Gold Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide Project in southwestern Mongolia, highlighted by a high-grade intercept of 5.0 metres at 4.92% copper, 0.94 g/t gold, and 5.05 g/t silver from 142.5 metres in drillhole MU2610A.

The intercept includes a 2.0-metre core grading 11.95% copper, 1.99 g/t gold, and 11.80 g/t silver from 143.9 metres. Drillhole MU2610A was collared approximately 85 metres south of earlier drilling to test the up-dip continuity of the massive sulphide system. Assays confirm that copper-gold VMS mineralisation now extends over approximately 550 metres of strike and to about 150 metres below surface, remaining open to the east, west, and down-dip.

Drillhole MU2609 intersected a new zone of copper mineralisation north of the shallow gold corridor, returning 3.0 metres at 2.40% copper from 44.0 metres, alongside shallow gold intercepts including 10.8 metres at 0.45 g/t gold and 10.72 g/t silver from 7.0 metres. Drillhole MU2610A also identified an additional shallow high-grade gold interval, returning 1.9 metres at 6.80 g/t gold and 67.30 g/t silver from 49.9 metres.

Drillhole MU2610 encountered intense weathering and a fault zone at approximately 30 metres, leading to core and fluid loss and the abandonment of the hole at 47.4 metres. Drillhole MU2611, testing a target in the southwest, intersected altered and oxidised ground with no significant copper or gold values.

“We have completed this final batch of assays on a high note. Not only have we confirmed mineralisation in the copper-rich massive sulphide and shallow gold zones, we have also identified additional mineralised areas for copper exploration to the north of previously identified mineralisation and a new area with gold.”

Field crews have commenced Phase 2 drilling, focusing initially on the shallow gold zone, alongside a downhole electromagnetic survey across the project area. Azzuro Resources plans to complete DHEM surveying of the 2026 diamond drillholes and commence testing of the Exploration Target following receipt of survey results. Preliminary metallurgical flotation testing has also started on representative copper-gold sulphide samples to evaluate metal recoveries and establish initial concentrate grades.
