Banyan Gold Hits 1.05 g/t Over 52.8m at Powerline
Banyan Gold Corp. reported new assay results from the western portions of the Powerline Deposit at its flagship AurMac Project in Canada’s Yukon Territory, highlighted by drillhole AX-26-892B intersecting 1.05 grams per tonne gold over 52.8 metres.
The ongoing 2026 drill program is focused on resource conversion, expansion and delineation of higher-grade mineralized domains within and adjacent to the current Mineral Resource. Drillhole AX-26-891 returned 149.14 grams per tonne gold over 0.4 metres within a broader interval of 0.56 grams per tonne gold over 169.2 metres. The 169.2-metre composite is materially influenced by the high-grade intercept. Excluding that interval, the remaining 168.8 metres averages approximately 0.21 grams per tonne gold alongside a lower mineralized zone averaging 0.63 grams per tonne gold over 19.9 metres. High densities of extensional quartz veins are present throughout the full length of the hole.

Additional results from the western and southern sectors of the deposit include drillhole AX-26-878, which returned 1.37 grams per tonne gold over 11.8 metres, including a 0.5-metre interval grading 7.37 grams per tonne gold and a 1.0-metre interval grading 9.78 grams per tonne gold. Drillhole AX-26-895 intersected 1.01 grams per tonne gold over 17.2 metres within a 26.6-metre envelope grading 0.73 grams per tonne gold.
“These results demonstrate the opportunity to improve the grade, extent and continuity of mineralized domains along the current margins of Powerline's near-surface higher-grade cores,” stated Tara Christie, President and CEO. “Hole AX-26-892B returned 1.05 g/t Au over 52.8 m, while AX-26-891 intersected several higher-grade intervals, including 149.14 g/t Au over 0.4 m. Our 2026 and planned 2027 drilling will continue to test the extent and expansion potential of higher-grade domains.”

The company’s primary asset is situated in the Traditional Territory of the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun. Banyan shares are scheduled to join the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index effective September 21, 2026, while the company has also scheduled the delivery of the first Preliminary Economic Assessment for the AurMac Project in the fourth quarter of 2026. Within the surrounding Yukon district, active exploration continues to highlight regional potential, including Sitka Gold Corp. reporting diamond drill results from the Blackjack deposit at its RC project in July 2026, which returned 164.0 metres of 1.83 grams per tonne gold.
