Banyan Gold Corp. (TSX-V:BYN) has confirmed new gold discoveries at its Nitra project in the Yukon. The company intersected visible gold and high-grade mineralization within its first exploration drillholes at the Roaring Fork and Seattle Creek zones. These sites are located approximately 25 kilometres west of the company's flagship AurMac deposit. The initial drilling at Roaring Fork yielded notable results, including 1.62 g/t gold over 5.0 metres, which contained a high-grade intercept of 17.80 g/t gold over 0.4 metres. These holes represent the first phase of an 11-target regional exploration program.

The drilling program utilizes helicopter-supported rigs to test geophysical and geochemical anomalies across the company’s extensive 830 square kilometre land package. Banyan maintains 100% ownership of these claims, which remain largely untested by previous exploration. The company is actively mobilizing a third drill to the site to accelerate the pace of this regional campaign. Geological teams are focusing on identifying Reduced Intrusion-Related Gold Systems that mirror the mineralization styles observed at their established assets in the Mayo Mining District.

Banyan’s exploration strategy at Nitra is designed to identify satellite deposits that could complement the broader AurMac project. This effort is supported by a significant expansion of the company’s regional holdings. In recent months, Banyan consolidated its position within the Tintina Gold Belt by acquiring the Goodman, Seattle, VIP, Summit, and Livingstone claim blocks from Generic Gold. This acquisition pipeline is intended to increase the scale of the company’s regional exploration footprint. By leveraging existing infrastructure and data from local placer mining operations, the technical team is refining its targeting models to prioritize the remaining nine undrilled targets identified for the current field season.

The technical team reported that mineralization at the Roaring Fork zone is hosted in two distinct types of quartz veins, characterized by the presence of bismuth-sulphosalts, arsenopyrite, and pyrite. At the Seattle Creek zone, drilling has encountered similar mineralized systems, including multiple instances of visible gold associated with sulphide replacement in calcareous metasedimentary rocks. The company noted that while these discoveries remain in the early stages of assessment, the preliminary findings suggest that the geological setting is favourable for future exploration. Assay results for the lower half of the initial drillhole and several subsequent holes are still pending, with the team expecting further data to confirm the orientation and continuity of these newly identified mineralized domains.
