Banyan Gold Corp. shares will join the MVIS Global Junior Gold Miners Index, becoming part of the underlying benchmark for the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF (GDXJ). The inclusion takes effect prior to the market open on Monday, September 21, 2026, following the index's September review and rebalance.

The incoming milestone follows an updated resource estimate for the flagship AurMac Project in Yukon, Canada, which upgraded the total resource to 8.624 million ounces of gold, comprising 3.639 million ounces indicated and 4.985 million ounces inferred. That figure compares with a total resource estimate of 6.2 million ounces of gold in 2023.

The company has also scheduled delivery of the first Preliminary Economic Assessment for the project in the fourth quarter of 2026.

“Inclusion in the GDXJ represents a significant milestone for Banyan and highlights the scale of AurMac and the district opportunity associated with our Nitra project,” stated Tara Christie, President and CEO. “We anticipate our addition to the GDXJ will enhance our profile and broaden our investor base, particularly among passive and ETF markets. This aligns with our ongoing momentum as we implement our strategic plan and work towards creating value for our shareholders.”
