Barksdale Resources Corp. has increased its ownership of the Sunnyside Property in southern Arizona from 51% to 67.5% after completing final cash and share payments to Great Basin Metals Inc.

The company satisfied the remaining Phase II earn-in requirements on August 28, 2026, by paying $550,000 in cash and issuing 4.9 million common shares. These shares carry a four-month hold period under Canadian securities rules. Great Basin’s stake in Arizona Standard LLC, the holding company for the project located in the Patagonia mining district, has correspondingly decreased from 49% to 32.5%.

“Reaching 67.5% ownership is a major accomplishment for Barksdale and I congratulate all involved. We now look forward to working with the Great Basin delegates to forge a common path forward at Sunnyside, a project we believe has the potential to host a significant copper system in Arizona.”

— William Wulftange, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Operational control of the property now shifts to a Management Committee chaired by Barksdale, consisting of three Barksdale delegates and two representatives from Great Basin. Approved expenditures will be funded according to these ownership percentages. Barksdale plans to table an initial budget in early September 2026 to fund a 15,240-metre Fall 2026 diamond drill program, an airborne ZTEM survey, and associated work, subject to committee approval.

Concurrently, Barksdale is advancing its San Javier Project in central Sonora, Mexico, where it recently acquired 100% ownership across 12 concession titles. Following favourable gold resampling results from historical 2007 drill core, the team is preparing to sample material for column and bottle roll tests. This precursor work is designed to help estimate gold recoveries and support an initial resource estimate for the project. In May 2024, Barksdale completed a preliminary economic assessment for San Javier that outlined a 13-year mine life producing 209 million pounds of cathode copper via an on-site solvent-extraction and electrowinning plant.
