Barrick Mining Corporation has reached a comprehensive agreement with Newmont Corporation to resolve all outstanding disputes across the Nevada Gold Mines joint venture, clearing partner hurdles required to advance a proposed public listing of the company’s North American assets.

Under the terms of the settlement, previously excluded properties will be contributed directly into the Nevada Gold Mines operating structure. The additions comprise Barrick’s Fourmile development alongside Newmont’s Fiberline and Mike projects. To balance the value of the property transfers, Newmont will provide $1.95 billion in consideration to Barrick. The arrangement also introduces enhanced governance provisions and a modernized joint venture framework designed to align operational oversight between the two producers.

The resolution of the Nevada disputes removes the obstacle that had delayed the planned public listing of Barrick's regional operations. With Newmont now providing formal consent following the settlement of the joint venture disputes, Barrick is actively advancing the proposed initial public offering of its North American gold assets.

The transaction coincides with supportive macroeconomic conditions across the precious metals sector, with gold priced at US$4,322.30 per ounce, reflecting a 4.93% increase over the 30-day period leading to August 10, 2026.
