Barton Gold Hits High-Grade Assays at Tunkillia Starter Pits

Barton Gold Holdings Limited has returned broad, shallow high-grade assay results from the ongoing Phase 2 reverse circulation resource upgrade drilling program at the Tunkillia Gold Project in South Australia.
The latest assays from the central S1 and S2 starter pit areas and Area 51 confirm a shallow zone of high-grade mineralisation sitting above previously modelled material. Drill hole TKB0674 intersected 4 metres at 3.80 g/t gold from 61 metres depth, including 1 metre at 8.90 g/t, and 11 metres at 8.73 g/t gold from 68 metres, including 2 metres at 36.9 g/t gold.
Additional shallow high-grade intercepts include hole TKB0667, which returned 21 metres at 3.62 g/t gold from 57 metres depth including 6 metres at 7.30 g/t, and hole TKB0693, yielding 10 metres at 4.30 g/t gold from 54 metres depth including 1 metre at 10.5 g/t and 1 metre at 10.7 g/t. Hole TKB0668 intersected 50 metres at 1.45 g/t gold from 62 metres depth, while hole TKB0714 returned 42 metres at 1.12 g/t gold from 139 metres depth.
“Tunkillia's infill drilling assays continue to surprise to the upside, with the latest results providing further support for a new 'bonus' zone of high-grade mineralisation sitting on top of that already modelled in the high-value 'Starter Pits'.” — Alexander Scanlon, Managing Director & CEO
The company is awaiting final assays from the 39,000-metre Phase 2 drilling expansion. Following receipt of the remaining data, Barton Gold will prepare comprehensive cross-sections and progress to updated gold and silver JORC Mineral Resource Estimates for Tunkillia.
Project development activities are supported by the recent approval of the environmental Scoping Report by the South Australian Department for Energy and Mines, which establishes the terms of reference for the Mining Lease application process. A Pre-feasibility Study for the project has also commenced, with publication targeted during the first quarter of calendar year 2027.
“We are advancing Tunkillia through pre-development programs as quickly as possible, following recent Government approval of its environmental Scoping Report as a first step in its Mining Lease application processes. We look forward to completing gold and silver Mineral Resources updates, our PFS, and a Mining Lease application in the near future.” — Alexander Scanlon, Managing Director & CEO
Barton Gold expects to complete its ongoing pre-development and resource update programs ahead of finalising the Pre-feasibility Study.
