Barton Gold Secures Environmental Scoping Approval For Tunkillia

Barton Gold Holdings Limited has received environmental Scoping Report approval from the South Australian Department for Energy and Mining for its Tunkillia gold and silver project, establishing the official terms of reference for future development approvals.
The approved report defines the environmental studies, modelling, community engagement, and other key programs required to advance the development pathway. Barton engaged the ERIAS Group in May 2025 to prepare the assessment as the initial step in the South Australian Mining Lease approvals process.
The permitting milestone accompanies ongoing technical work following Tunkillia's May 2025 Optimised Scoping Study, which outlined an annual production profile of approximately 120,000 ounces of gold and 250,000 ounces of silver.
Updated JORC Mineral Resource Estimates for both gold and silver are currently pending following the completion of a ~58,000-metre resource upgrade drilling campaign.
“We have recently completed nearly 58,000m of Resource upgrade drilling at Tunkillia, with positive results in some zones offering material upside potential. We look forward to sharing final assays and Resource updates in due course.”
— Alexander Scanlon, Managing Director & CEO
Barton is targeting the publication of Ore Reserves and a Pre-feasibility Study for large-scale gold and silver production during the first quarter of calendar year 2027. A formal Mining Lease application will follow as the company expedites the development pathway.
