Barton Gold Holdings Limited has intersected high-grade gold mineralization within the shallow starter pits at its Tunkillia Gold Project in South Australia, highlighted by hole TKB0674 returning 2 metres at 36.9 g/t gold from 71 metres depth.

The results stem from an ongoing 39,000-metre Phase 2 reverse circulation drilling program designed to upgrade mineral resource classifications across the central project area. Additional high-grade intercepts from the latest assay batch include hole TKB0712, which intersected 19 metres at 1.72 g/t gold from 132 metres depth, including 2 metres at 12.1 g/t gold from 138 metres, and hole TKB0693, yielding 10 metres at 4.30 g/t gold from 54 metres depth.

“Tunkillia's infill drilling assays continue to surprise to the upside, with the latest results providing further support for a new ‘bonus' zone of high-grade mineralisation sitting on top of that already modelled in the high-value ‘Starter Pits’.”

— Alexander Scanlon, Managing Director

The current drilling is expected to feed into upcoming updates for the project's gold and silver JORC Mineral Resource Estimates once final assay batches are received.

The evaluation work follows environmental approval of the project's Scoping Report by the South Australian Department for Energy and Mining, which established the formal terms of reference for the Mining Lease application process. Barton is targeting the completion of an updated Pre-feasibility Study and Ore Reserves during the first quarter of calendar year 2027.

“We are advancing Tunkillia through pre-development programs as quickly as possible, following recent Government approval of its environmental Scoping Report as a first step in its Mining Lease application processes. We look forward to completing gold and silver Mineral Resources updates, our PFS, and a Mining Lease application in the near future.”

— Alexander Scanlon, Managing Director

Final assay results from the Phase 2 drilling campaign are pending, which will pave the way for the upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate updates and further pre-development milestones.
