Battery X Metals Inc. has appointed electric vehicle and lithium-ion battery entrepreneur William Fan as President, effective August 13, 2026.

Fan brings experience across the electric vehicle, lithium-ion battery, energy storage, and capital markets sectors. His background includes involvement with Canadian electric vehicle manufacturer Solo Automotive Inc., leading a bid to acquire the intellectual property and operating assets of ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corp., and hands-on manufacturing training at automotive production facilities in North America, Europe, and South Korea. He was also an early startup member of the Volta Foundation.

In his new role, Fan will lead the execution of the company's technology and corporate development strategy, with a focus on advancing its patent-pending lithium-ion battery rebalancing technology. Battery X Metals is continuing the development and real-world performance trials of this rebalancing platform alongside expanding vehicle platform compatibility.
