Bedford Metals Hits 0.133% U3O8 Over 0.6 Metres at Sheppard Lake

Bedford Metals Corp. has reported diamond drilling results from its Sheppard Lake Uranium Project on the southern margin of Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin, returning up to 0.133% U3O8 over 0.6 metres from the TZ-1 conductive anomaly.

The spring 2026 drill program comprised 1,135.71 metres across four diamond drill holes. A total of 218 samples—comprising 104 drill core and 114 composite samples—were analyzed at the Saskatchewan Research Council Geoanalytical Laboratory in Saskatoon for multi-element, U3O8, and boron assays.

Drill holes SHP-26-03 and SHP-26-04 targeted the TZ-2 conductive anomaly, while SHP-26-05 and SHP-26-06 tested the TZ-1 conductive anomaly. Hole SHP-26-05 intersected 0.133% U3O8 over 0.6 metres from 21.4 to 22 metres, with a total digestion of 1,190 parts per million uranium, alongside an adjacent interval of 0.04% U3O8 from 20.9 to 21.4 metres. Scintillometer readings within the same interval reached up to 1,447 counts per second in a pegmatite, and spectrometer readings returned up to 121.1 parts per million uranium and 48.1 parts per million thorium.

Hole SHP-26-06 encountered a near-continuous mineralized run from 19.5 to 48 metres, hosting multiple 0.5 to 1.5-metre intervals ranging between 0.014% and 0.049% U3O8. The highest assay in this hole returned 0.049% U3O8 from 36 to 37 metres, with 419 parts per million uranium total digestion. Composite samples from the 20 to 30-metre depth range averaged 0.02% U3O8, equating to 190 parts per million uranium total digestion.

Both SHP-26-05 and SHP-26-06 intersected mineralized intervals at roughly the same depth, indicating a laterally continuous, shallow mineralized horizon. The spring program delivered an upgrade over earlier work at the property, comparing favourably with May 2026 sampling that returned up to 0.032% uranium at the same TZ-1 target.
