Benton Intersects 30.53 g/t Gold in Channel Sampling at Dominion
Benton Resources Inc. has received high-grade gold assay results of up to 30.53 g/t Au from channel sampling at the Rickirb gold zone within its Dominion project in Newfoundland.
Three trenches completed across the zone over a strike length of more than 210 metres returned significant gold intervals, establishing the prospect as a drill-ready system that remains open to the northeast and southwest. The Rickirb Zone is hosted within a steeply dipping quartz-feldspar porphyry inside an intense shear zone. Mineralization consists of quartz stockwork overprinted by shear-related veining, with individual veins reaching one metre in width across zones ranging from five to 12 metres wide. The mineralized intervals contain 2% to 10% pyrite and minor galena.
Trench #1 returned multiple anomalous intervals including 11.2 metres at 1.80 g/t Au on Line 6, which included a 3.0-metre section grading 6.36 g/t Au and a 1.0-metre sample at 10.58 g/t Au. Line 7 yielded 7.2 metres at 0.89 g/t Au including 1.0 metre at 5.60 g/t Au, while Line 8 returned 2.0 metres at 8.00 g/t Au including 0.5 metres grading 30.53 g/t Au.

Trench #2 returned 3.7 metres at 4.20 g/t Au from a single channel line, including 0.9 metres at 15.29 g/t Au. Trench #3 returned 5.7 metres at 1.85 g/t Au on Line 1, including 1.0 metre at 3.16 g/t Au and 1.0 metre at 3.48 g/t Au. Line 2 returned 0.85 metres at 2.00 g/t Au including 0.45 metres at 3.29 g/t Au, and Line 3 yielded 5.7 metres at 0.67 g/t Au including 0.7 metres at 3.40 g/t Au. Reported channel sample intervals represent 80% to 95% of true width.
The results form part of an ongoing trenching and channel sampling program initiated in August 2026. A total of 12 trenches have been completed with over 200 samples collected to date. Benton acquired the Dominion project in 2024.
"Our exploration team is extremely pleased with this extraordinary new gold discovery within our prospective Dominion project. We've taken the Rickirb Zone from a grass roots, grab samples discovery to a significant, 210 m in length, exposed and drill-ready gold system that remains open for expansion."

Assays from the remaining trenches and ongoing grab sampling across the property remain pending following geologist review.
