Bitterroot Resources Ltd.’s Michigan subsidiary, Trans Superior Resources, Inc., alongside several private investors, has purchased the surface estate of the LM nickel-copper property in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for US$170,000.

The transaction gives Bitterroot and its minority joint venture partner, Below Exploration Inc., direct ownership and control of the property for mineral exploration and development, supported by a newly acquired hardwood timber resource. Trans Superior holds a 20% stake in the newly formed surface owner entity, Ravine River Properties LLC, with the remaining 80% held by four Michigan-based investors who share equity interests in Bitterroot and/or Below Exploration.

In practical terms, the acquisition gives the operating team greater operational flexibility and extends the potential drilling season at the asset. Alongside the surface purchase, Trans Superior secured a three-year access and road use permit from a local timber company, which simplifies drill access to the eastern half of the property.

The LM Project is located within the Baraga Basin, which hosts Talon Metals Corp.'s Eagle Mine, the only operating nickel mine in the USA. Previous drilling by Bitterroot and Below on the LM Property completed 7,565 metres across 26 core holes to a depth of 300 metres, defining a magma conduit that hosts disseminated, semi-massive and/or massive sulphide nickel-copper PGM mineralization of high metal tenor in 10 of those holes. The LM and Talon's nearby Roland target are believed to be parts of the same magmatic conduit system. In June, Talon resumed drilling its Roland target approximately 120 metres east of the LM Property. In late July, Perseverance Metals Inc. initiated its first drilling program on the nearby Voyageur Lands under option/earn-in from Bitterroot and partner Altius Minerals Corporation.

“The relatively low-cost acquisition of the LM Property's surface estate increases our operational flexibility and extends our drilling season. As we pursue various sources of funding for drilling at LM, we see concurrent potential benefits from Perseverance and Talon's drilling in 2026 and beyond”

Bitterroot plans to drill-test the 400-700 metre depth range of the LM intrusion, subject to financing.
