Black Bear Minerals Intersects 8.5m at 525g/t Silver in Shafter Core Re-analysis
Black Bear Minerals Limited has reported higher-grade silver and polymetallic results from the re-analysis of historical diamond drill core at its Shafter Silver Project in Texas. The updated assay results consistently demonstrate higher metal content when compared to original records, including a drill hole returning 8.5m at 525g/t silver, with a peak grade of 1,360g/t.
Another specific re-assayed interval returned 3.7m at 47g/t silver and 0.6m at 169g/t silver, representing a 147% increase in contained silver compared to the original recorded data. Beyond silver, the new analytical program has identified significant polymetallic potential, with gold values reaching as high as 0.7g/t alongside lead and zinc mineralisation that were largely overlooked in historical campaigns.
Black Bear Minerals has initiated a comprehensive review of all legacy drill programs across the broader Shafter project resource footprint following the successful initial core re-analysis. The company is advancing a technical work program specifically targeted at converting the current foreign resource estimate to a JORC-compliant Mineral Resource. Simultaneously, the team is progressing toward a Rapid Mine Restart Study for the project, which now incorporates multi-elemental analysis beyond the historic silver-only focus.
