Black Cat Syndicate Limited has completed a 56-hole reverse circulation drill program totaling 6,804 metres at the Trojan Deposit, successfully intersecting gold mineralisation outside the current resource boundary and extending the deposit's overall footprint.

Trojan forms part of the 100% owned Kal East Gold Operation, where the Lakewood processing facility capacity is being expanded from 1.2Mtpa to 1.5Mtpa. The Trojan and Imperial deposits are held on 100% owned mining leases to supply ore feed to the operation.

The drill campaign focused on two primary objectives: testing for down-dip extensions to the steeply dipping lodes in the northern portion of the deposit, and infilling and extending the flat-lying oxide mineralisation in the southeastern sector. Both aims were met.

Assay results from the northern extensional drilling included 3 metres at 6.88g/t gold from 142 metres in hole 26TRRC008A, 7 metres at 3.02g/t gold from 257 metres in hole 26TRRC010A, 6 metres at 2.58g/t gold from 251 metres in hole 26TRRC006A, and 13 metres at 1.79g/t gold from 237 metres in hole 26TRRC002.

Southeastern drilling also returned positive shallow intercepts outside the existing resource boundaries, including 11 metres at 1.13g/t gold from 33 metres in hole 26TRRC042 and 6 metres at 1.13g/t gold from 47 metres in hole 26TRRC045. Additional results included 3 metres at 1.68g/t gold from 68 metres in hole 26TRRC027 and 3 metres at 1.54g/t gold from 33 metres in hole 26TRRC030.

“We are excited that the extensional drilling has highlighted the growth potential for Trojan and look forward to continued success during the next phase of drilling. Planned infill and extensional drilling targeting the shallow southeastern lodes is also significant because this area is where the initial mining development is envisioned.”

Building on these results, Black Cat is planning further extensional drilling at Trojan, with a primary focus on the shallow flat-lying oxide mineralisation in the southeastern part of the deposit. The company is also undertaking infill drilling to upgrade the current Inferred Mineral Resource to Indicated status, which will provide the necessary data to support updated life of mine planning.
