Blue Jay Gold Initiates Metallurgical Studies on >400 kg of Stibnite-Rich Mineralization at Becker-Cochran Antimony Prospect

Blue Jay Gold Corp. has initiated metallurgical studies on more than 400 kilograms of stibnite-rich mineralization from the Becker-Cochran antimony prospect in southern Yukon.
The processing flowsheet testing is being coordinated by ALS Metallurgical Laboratories in Kamloops, British Columbia, with results expected later in September 2026. The technical program aims to build on historical work carried out in 1965, which evaluated bulk samples from the prospect to produce high-grade stibnite concentrates exceeding 62% antimony.
Becker-Cochran sits within an 8-kilometre-wide antimony anomaly on the company's 100%-owned Steller Gold Project. While the 2026 exploration program features diamond drilling targeting the Skukum Creek Structural Corridor and Mt. Skukum, historical work at Becker-Cochran demonstrates that the district hosts multiple mineralized systems formed during Eocene magmatic-epithermal activity. The project is supported by a past-producing mine that yielded approximately 80,000 ounces of gold at 13 grams per tonne, alongside an NI 43-101 resource comprising 400,000 ounces of gold-equivalent indicated resource at 9.06 grams per tonne and 450,000 ounces of gold-equivalent inferred resource at 6.45 grams per tonne. Blue Jay funded its 2026 exploration and technical programs at Steller through a brokered private placement that closed in April 2026 for gross proceeds of approximately $14.7 million.
“The part of this story that gets overlooked is that somebody already tested the metallurgy,” said Geordie Mark, CEO of Blue Jay Gold. “In 1965 the federal government’s own mineral processing laboratory took a bulk sample from Becker-Cochran and reported concentrates exceeding 62% antimony at a recovery of 92.8% 1 , above the 50% antimony threshold considered premium material. Those historical data points are not compliant to today’s metrics and hence provide a great opportunity to reexamine using new technologies that are 60 years more advanced. Should our work confirm and or improve on historic efforts it is fair to say that we hold a critical mineral system with a metallurgical head start, on a property where our rigs are already drilling for gold and silver. That is what district scale means to me: one land package that can be endowed with more than one deposit, which the potential for enrichment in more than just one metal.”
